Plymouth ranked 168th in state for resident earnings in 2017


Plymouth ranked 168th among cities in Wisconsin by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Plymouth residents was an inflation-adjusted $32,885 per year. Plymouth had 3,959 households in 2017, with a population of 8,477.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Lac La Belle. Lac La Belle's median income was $73,295 per year after adjusting for inflation – $40,410 more than Plymouth. It had 103 households in 2017 and a population of 268.

Whitewater had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Wisconsin, with a median income of only $9,012 per year. That was $23,873 less than the median income in Plymouth at the time. Whitewater had 4,609 households in 2017 and a population of 14,762.
