About 66.6 percent of the 871 degrees and certificates handed out by Herzing University-Madison in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Madison conferred 190 associate's degrees and 166 certificates in health professions and related programs.
But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in family practice nurse/nursing. Data shows the school gave out 116 master's degrees in family practice nurse/nursing, followed by 80 certificates in "other" allied health and medical assisting services and 63 associate's degrees in medical insurance coding specialist/coder.
The university enrolled 2,156 students for 2017-18, including 1,732 in undergraduate programs and 424 in graduate programs.
