Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 16.
Future Neenah Inc. is proud to announce Nikki Hessel will take on the executive director leadership position at the organization effective November 26.
Hessel comes to Future Neenah from the Fox Cities Chamber and Fox Cities Regional Partnership where she served as the Director of Community Engagement and Pulse Young Professionals Network. Locally she may be recognized for her organizational efforts with the popular Bazaar After Dark on South Commercial Street.
“The organization is coming off a very successful year, completing the community fundraising effort for the Navigate Neenah-Menasha Loop the Lake trestle project, celebrating our community’s history with the new Manhole Cover Madness event and building our endowment fund,” said Fritz Merizon, Future Neenah board president and search committee chair. “While we interviewed many capable candidates, we felt Hessel would bring the right balance of nonprofit, community and marketing experience to further Future Neenah mission.”
Future Neenah is celebrating 35 years as the Neenah Area’s quality of life organization. Hessel is only the 7th person to fill the executive director role. We invite the community to meet her at our upcoming Very Neenah Christmas event on December 7.
Hessel takes on the director position held by Amy Barker for the past eight years. Barker has accepted a position with local firm, Vision Architecture.
