About 18.3 percent of the 115 degrees and certificates handed out by the Northland College in 2016-17 were to students in Natural Resources and Conservation programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Ashland conferred 21 bachelor's degrees in Natural Resources and Conservation programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Data shows the school gave out 20 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, followed by 17 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 12 bachelor's degrees in Teacher Education, Multiple Levels.

The college enrolled 582 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
