About 48.8 percent of the 2,876 degrees and certificates handed out by the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Bay conferred 1083 certificates and 319 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide. Data shows the school gave out 514 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide, followed by 219 certificates in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training and 174 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The college enrolled 10,253 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
